Terms of Service
Effective October 7, 2026
In short: ShieldSheet helps you prepare security documents. It is not legal advice and doesn't certify anything. You're responsible for checking that the answers are true for your business. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do at any time.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you (and the business you represent) and Comblektra LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as ShieldSheet ("ShieldSheet", "we", "us"). By buying or using ShieldSheet, you accept them. If you use ShieldSheet for a business, you confirm you're authorized to accept these terms for it.
2. What ShieldSheet does
ShieldSheet prepares written information security plans, drafts answers to security questionnaires, and lists gaps, using the information you provide and published guidance such as the FTC Safeguards Rule (16 CFR Part 314) and IRS Publication 5708.
3. Not legal advice; no certification
ShieldSheet is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Using ShieldSheet does not create an attorney-client or other professional relationship. ShieldSheet does not audit your business, does not certify compliance with any law, regulation, or standard, and does not promise that any regulator, insurer, or customer will accept a document. For questions about your legal obligations, consult a qualified attorney.
4. Your responsibility for accuracy
Documents are prepared from your answers and uploads. You're responsible for making sure that what you give us is accurate and complete, and for reviewing every plan and answer before you sign, submit, or rely on it. Where we can't confirm a control from what you've told us, we flag it as a gap instead of claiming it. Drafts may still contain errors, and you decide what to use.
5. Your account
Keep your password secure and tell us promptly at support@shieldsheet.com if you think your account has been misused. You're responsible for activity under your account, including activity by team members you invite.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the information and documents you provide and of the plans and answers we prepare for you. You give us permission to store and process your content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service. Don't upload taxpayer data or anything you don't have the right to share. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use ShieldSheet to break the law, to misrepresent your security practices to others, to attempt to access other customers' data, to interfere with the service, or to resell it except through our partner program.
8. Payment, renewal, and cancellation
- Prices are listed on shieldsheet.com and shown at checkout. Applicable taxes may be added.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (yearly or monthly, as shown at checkout) at the then-current price, and your payment method is charged unless you cancel before the renewal date. We'll give you notice before any price change takes effect.
- Cancel any time in the billing portal (Settings → Billing in the app). Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- One-time purchases, such as questionnaire orders, are charged once and don't renew.
- Refunds are available within 14 days of a charge if no plan or completed questionnaire has been downloaded under it. See Refunds and Cancellation.
9. When a subscription ends
If a subscription lapses, is canceled, or is refunded, your account becomes read-only. You can still sign in and download the plans and documents you already have. We don't hold your documents hostage.
10. Changes to the service
We improve ShieldSheet over time and may change or retire features. If we make a change that materially reduces what you've paid for, we'll tell you, and you may cancel and receive a prorated refund for the unused part of a prepaid period.
11. Disclaimers
Apart from the commitments stated in these terms, ShieldSheet is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to ShieldSheet is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
13. Ending this agreement
You can stop using ShieldSheet and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after notice where practical. Sections 3, 4, 6, 9, 11, 12, and 15 continue after the agreement ends.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, email account owners before they take effect. Continuing to use ShieldSheet after that means you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
